It's Complicated

Took a good friend to see the movie of her choice as a birthday gift. We saw "It's Complicated".
I wanted to see it but was a bit leery due to the topic of a divorced couple that are getting together for the extra "benefits".

It was a laugh fest thanks primarily to the outstanding performances of the great cast and a very funny script. Meryl Streep has earned her standing as our greatest movie actor . She hits all the right notes as a woman still wounded by her ex's infidelity and ultimate divorce. Alex Baldwin is amazing as a man realizing too late he made a mistake by letting his ex go and now is trying to convince her to resume their relationship even though he is remarried. Other actors might not have as fully realized the dilemmas of their feeling for each other or been able to show why the relationship will not win out at the end.
